A typical Western wedding tradition is choosing two colors as the wedding decorating scheme, such as royal blue and silver, lavender and pearl, black and white, and so on. Two popular wedding color choices are silver and teal. These two colors are appropriate for any season. If you're an engaged couple planning your wedding and are wishing to incorporate these two colors into your design theme, you have numerous ways to express yourself.

    Wedding Dress

Incorporate silver and teal into your wedding gown design. You could choose a silver and teal sash for tying around your waist, or perhaps you could add silver beads to your headpiece and veil. Teal is a shade of blue, so your "something blue" tradition could be a teal garter or a teal and silver charm sewn inside your dress or onto your shoes. If there is room for them, silver beads would also make a beautiful trim around the bottom of the wedding dress.

    Wedding Flowers

Utilize silver and teal ribbons in your wedding flowers, including the bride's bouquet. Ribbons can be place around the stem of the bouquet or inserted within the flowers themselves. After the wedding ceremony, use the bridesmaids' bouquets as head-table decorations. One wedding favor idea is giving each guest a white rose tied with silver and teal ribbon, which can be placed at each place setting. Also, try to use silver vases for displaying floral bouquets at your ceremony and reception locations. The vases can also be decorated with teal beads or wrapped in teal and silver ribbon. As another idea, try adding teal and silver feathers to the bouquets. They create an added texture and give the bouquets a different look.

    Wedding Favors

Choose candies, such as M&Ms, that come in customized colors. For instance, a gray hue to represent silver and turquoise to represent teal, then place the candies in silver favor bags at each place setting. Hershey's Kisses are wrapped in silver; scatter some of these chocolates on each reception table. You can also print love quotes on silver colored paper and attach the paper to the bags. If you and your betrothed enjoy books, create a favor bookmark in silver and teal ink for each guest. For a simple place setting, paint flat rocks in silver and teal paint and write your guests name's on them.
